Who is Rosana Erci...

I am a Brazilian visual artist based in England, working primarily with contemporary ceramics. My practice brings together my background in printmaking, drawing, and installation, leading to the development of my own technique, Contemporary Coilwork.

Through clay, I explore memory, texture, and transformation. I use lace and crochet from my personal and family archive to imprint stories into fragile surfaces, which I then fragment and reassemble into new forms.

My work is rooted in the dialogue between control and unpredictability, and in the belief that shaping clay is also a way of shaping oneself.
